Forum on the “Application of Default Interest according to the Law on Obligations”

On October 22, 2013, the Kosovo Banking Association in cooperation with the USAID-funded program for Contract Law and Enforcement (CLE), organized a seminar on the “Application of Default Interest according to the Law on Obligations”. This seminar was attended by the drafters of the Law on Obligations, Judges of the Supreme Court, representatives of CLE, as well as representatives of the banking sector and other experts from this field.

Our Managing Partner, Dastid Pallaska, was one of the main speakers at this forum. Mr. Pallaska presented a comparative overview between default interest and contractual penalty under contract law. Among other issues, our Managing Partner presented key comparative aspects of these two legal instruments as well as their objective, elements and application in practice.
